Desilters

Desilters are what smaller diameter hydrocyclones are typically referred to as, and will generally be used directly after a desander. Occasionally desanders will not be necessary and the desilter will operate immediately after the scalping pass. While desilting cones can achieve a finer cut, down to 20 micron, than desander cones they cannot process at as high of a rate per cone and are headered together in order to meet the desired throughput. The Underflow will be recirculated over a shaker and processed again while the overflow will be free to move on to the next stage, whether it’s a centrifuge, chemical treatment, or a finished product.

MUDCLEANER INFO

Triflo’s expertly designed line of mud cleaners are a cost effective, reliable solution to removing sands and solids from contaminated water.  All of our units utilize Triflo patented static hydro-cyclones for solids separation. This offers many unique advantages as they do not utilize any moving parts which helps to keep operation cost and downtime to a minimum. In addition the produced water out of our cones flow through our “candy canes” into an open top atmospheric pressure discharge trough, instead of a pressured discharge manifold. This discharge method is unique to Triflo and allows our mud cleaners to be operated at lower pressure, as low as 25 PSI, reducing the size of pumps needed to power our units.
