What is a Environmental System? Triflo’s E.S. or Environmental System product line is a three stage liquid-solids separation system that separates solids from pump-able slurries down to a nominal 10 um (micron). This type of solids separation system is used more commonly on environmental remediation, dredging or tank bottom/slop oil processing. The Three Stages
- Stage One – The slurry is passed over a scalper shaker to remove all of the larger material –rock, gravel or larger sands.
- Stage Two – The slurry is then pumped through the first set of 4” hydro-cyclones to remove the finer sands and coarser silts. The underflow from the hydro-cyclones is then discharged onto a shaker screen for further drying.
- Stage Three – The slurry then passes through the second set of smaller 2” hydro-cyclones for the final cut removing the fine silts and non-hydrated clays. The underflow from the hydro-cyclones is the discharged onto a shaker screen for further drying. The phases described above are performed in a continuous and in sync operation with the final discharge controlling the whole operation.
- ES Systems are sized based off of their GPM processing.
